As a timeless cult label, FILA still stands for sophistication and Italian craftsmanship. While sports, and tennis in particular, gained in expression and individuality in the 20th century, FILA was quick to recognize the role sportswear had to play: it should support the athlete's movement and grace, it has to fit precisely and yet be flexible. Scandinavian fashion and lifestyle brand Wood Wood balances expression and function, creating contemporary streetwear combined with a strong sports component. Their collaboration creates a unique, tennis-inspired lifestyle collab.
Inspired by the grandeur of the 70s, the collection uses panel blocking and a color palette that calls for an expressive experience. Knitted pleats add texture and contrast to the rough surface where play unfolds. Minimalist looks highlighted with bright orange tones. With this collection Fila and Wood Wood gather and create an impression around the lone warrior. The collection includes casual and on-court apparel, as well as leather-look tennis shoes and transitional headwear. Breathable cotton, brushed fleece and merino wool make up the textiles of the various styles and ensure maximum comfort.
“We wanted to revisit this golden era of FILA tennis and especially the Björn Borg years. Each item from the capsule has an authentic feel to it.” - Karl-Oskar Olsen, Wood Wood Co-Founder
